will be continued

Kartina swung her leg over the fence. It was dark, and she could feel a storm brooding, up in the inky black sky. Still she kept on, and jumped over completely. The grass was wet from an afternoon sprinkle, and Katrina's bare feet were soon damp.

"Penelope!" She called once she had reached the crumbling building. In the dark, the structure of twisted metal and crushed wooden planks looked very unwelcoming indeed, but Katrina was used to the sight, it was her home.

She heard a shuffling noise, and a shadowy shape wavered in front of her eyes. Katrina smiled. "So, you decided to join the party after all?"She watched as the misty substance became thicker, into a more human figure. "Thank you, Penelope." Penelope nodded her head, and in a smoky, childish voice asked, "Where are the rest of the guests? Surely they haven't reconsidered?"
“Oh, I’m sure they’ll turn up sooner or later.” Katrina smiled at Penelope, though she had no eyes to see it. Then suddenly, as if Katrina had summoned them in some way, there was a bright explosion of orange, and there stood Noria, Angeline, and Tom.

“Ow! Who is that?!” Penelope, screeched, now fully materialized. Tom had put his boulder of a foot right on Penelope’s tender toes.

“Who do you think it is?” Tom asked, removing his foot, which could hurt very much, considering he was made entirely of rock. He could make mountains topple to the ground with one jump, and when he ran, you could hear his limestone heart beating against his granite ribs.

Penelope brought her foot up to her shrouded face and sniffed. “There’s blood!” She screamed. Penelope, having no eyes, used her amazingly accurate nose, and her elephant ears which she had conjured for herself.

“Not a lot.” Tom said defiantly. He stamped his foot, which brought a shower of dust and empty bird nests from the roof of Katrina’s meek home they were taking refuge under. It had started to rain, and Noria disliked getting her feet wet. For you see, Noria was a fairy, and a very small one at that, about the size of a baseball. The pixie dust that surrounded her proved to become, when in contact with water, a very messy gunk. Which then came the charade of removing it with a little scraper Noria always had, and a hairdryer.

Katrina stepped between the two. “Stop! Your fine Penelope, and Tom, no need to make such a commotion.” Angeline stepped forward, enveloped in brightness. It was a gift from her mother, Apollo, the light that is. It followed her everywhere, taking peace with it. Which was not the best thing for Angeline, who was a very evil little girl. Whenever she did wrong, before her eyes, it would be undone, and Angeline hated it.

Angeline laughed, a loud cackle which made her heavy black curls dance a top her head. Noria settled on her shoulder, the soft green glow of the pixie dust complementing her blue eyes and pale skin. Penelope smiled, showing her black teeth, and the dangerous glint at the back of her eye sockets faded. Though she had no eyeballs, the sockets stayed, two empty holes on her otherwise pretty face. "Katrina." She whispered. "You're such a dear." Angeline took a step closer to Penelope and put her arm around her shoulder. Noria climbed nimbly onto Penelope's head, her favorite spot.

"Get off you little nymph!" Penelope growled.
"I'm not a nymph!" Noria cried in her squeaky voice. She flew to Norias face and pinched her cheek.
"Ow!" Penelope cried, swatting at Noria. Her hand made contact, and Noria sailed through the air, Katrina caught her.

Angeline turned to Penelope, her high cheekbones flushed. "You witch!" She screeched. The red glow returned to Penelope's face. Tom, who had positioned himself out of Penelope's reach, reached for Angeline's arm, but she twisted from his grasp.

"Angeline!" Noria cried. "Stop!" Angeline's fierce expression faded, and she fell to the ground. Penelope rushed to her.

"Angeline? Angeline! oh! I'm so sorry, please get up!"

Your story is very descriptive and imaginative. I really like how you created humans and creatures from fantasy and took different animals to mix with other animals...
